Mr. Eight Dollars (also spelled Mr. $8 and formerly known as V) is an emote on the Gatorbox Twitch channel. It is a cropped version of Twitch's character used to advertise their annual "SUB-tember" promotion where channel subscriptions are offered at a discount during the month of September. The character, whose name (if any) is not actually known, is a cartoony version of the "SUBSCRIBE" button that has a face at the end of it. The face resembles the ":v" or "pac-man" emoticon originally made famous by Something Awful in the 2000's. The text version of the emote (:v) is often used in the stream's chatroom and since this character was making the face associated with it a couple of viewers requested adding the character as an emote.
