Game Man (April Fool's Joke)

Game Man (stylized as GAME MAN in images) is a character portrayed by Draco. He is a YouTuber known for making long-winded and documentary playlists where he takes an extremely long time explaining the most inane trivia that most fans of video games already know. The Game Man character was created in 2014 and consisted of a photo of Draco making an awkward face. The photo was then edited to look like a low effort "clickbait" thumbnail of the era making it out to be a video about the widely known history of Super Mario Bros. 2 being an adaptation of the Famicom game Yume Kojo: Doki Doki Panic. The thumbnail stated that the video was the eighth part in the playlist playing into the trope of people who made YouTube content at the time stretching out explanations as long as possible to pad out their channel's total watch time and ad revenue.

Game Man is one of the earliest jokes from Gatorbox to have reached some amount of widespread notoriety. In the years following the creation of the original image Draco has expressed interest in actually making the fictional video that goes with the thumbnail and uploading it as an April Fool's joke (using the original thumbnail from 2014 as the actual video thumbnail). There were plans to create the video in 2024 for the tenth anniversary of the gag but things did not pan out. Draco says the script for the video has been written and it just needs to be filmed and edited.
