Skip's Tips
Skip's Tips is the name Draco generally gives to various pieces of advice on camera. The reference is specifically in regards to video game advice, but Draco invokes the name for a myriad of other gaming-unrelated things too usually in a sarcastic tone of voice. Skip's Tips is one of the longest-running gags of the channel and is a reference to the 1989 home video Score More Points on Nintendo Games, Vol. 1 hosted by "Skip Rogers" (no relation to disgraced Twin Galaxies cheater Todd Rogers, we assume) who claims to be the "World Video Game Champion". To date, it has never been determined if Skip Rogers is actually a real person as the name does not appear on any high score leaderboards or similar records of the era. It is instead believed Skip is a fictional persona created specifically for the Score More Points series of tapes, of which there are only two.
In a given Score More Points video Skip walks the player through various difficult parts of several games for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) console. Notably, many of the games featured in the video do not actually keep track of the player's score in any meaningful way which is at odds with the name of the tapes. Between games, and sometimes between portions of the same game, Skip will read from a bulleted list of hints and tips in segments titled "Skip's Tips". Skip's advice varies between simply stating the obvious or being genuinely incorrect. Additionally, for someone claiming to be a "champion" of video games, the recorded gameplay footage exhibits a noticeable lack of skill.
Skip Rogers claimed to have a fan club that viewers could sign up for, however no ephemera from said club has ever surfaced.
