Jiffer Lawson (also known as Jiffer the Fox) is a minor mascot of the Gatorbox channel. He is an anthropomorphic fox whose name is taken from one of the placeholders from the 1990 version of The Oregon Trail. Jiffer Lawson is both a default name on the high score table as well as one of the names that can be found on tombstones throughout the game. During a 2025 feature of The Oregon Trail, Draco remarked that Jiffer, when pronounced as "yiffer", would make an amusing name for a furry character (because "yiff" is colloquial term for pornographic content in the furry fandom). A couple of weeks later during a viewer mail segment for GatorUNbox, Draco opened a box that was confirmed to have been sent in by Roastmaster which contained one of the fox fursuit heads available from Spirit Halloween party stores. Amused by the costume head, Draco put it on and started telling jokes. While this was going on, unfunnynerd posed the question in the stream chat "is this Jiffer?"
Upon seeing the chat message, Draco adopted the name with the "yiffer" pronunciation and gave it to the costume piece. Jiffer gradually evolved into a loose idea for a stream mascot, however he is mostly regarded as an on-camera persona portrayed by Draco. Jiffer appeared briefly in the September 2025 State of the Gator video.
