Dinopunk's Emote Sets

In May 2026 Draco released a premium emoticon set credited under his non-Gatorbox penname Dinopunk. The set, which contained a dozen different icons of Cassie from Dragon Tales, was released on both the Gatorbox Etsy and itch.io storefronts for $9.99 with a free download link being made available privately to viewers who'd been supporting the channel on Patreon. The pack can also be used freely on Telegram Messenger. It was released without any build-up or fanfare, it was simply made available and posted into the community Discord's announcements channel.

In the announcement Draco said he'd spent a recent weekend working on the emotes as a way to take his mind off of matters in his personal life that were bothering him, stating he was too "wound up" to do something as technically complex as editing videos or rehearsing scripts and settled on drawing because it was a low-impact activity that he could relax while doing. By the end of the weekend, he'd created 12 distinct emotes of the Cassie character. Cassie was chosen first, over Kazooie and Spyro, for no particular reason other than Draco stating that he had a framed sketch of the character autographed by Ron Rodecker (the creator of Dragon Tales) hanging on the wall directly above his computer monitors making it an easy reference to source from while drawing.

Reception to the inaugural pack of emotes was mixed, largely due to the project seeming to have come out of left field for many viewers (who'd been expecting Draco to have been working on Steam Roll or Articles of Conflagration and were thus watching the announcements channel specifically for news pertaining to those projects). Feedback regarding the technical execution of the artwork itself however was positive.

When asked if there were plans to create emote sets of Gatorbox mascots, Draco stated that he was open to the idea but if he were to continue making sets of icons he wanted to focus on characters that were more widely recognizable both as a way to generate revenue for the channel by way of sales and also to help grow the channel's outreach by putting content out there that was more likely to be adopted and shared around by other people.
