Coolname refers to an emote on the Gatorbox channel. It often confuses viewers because its name has nothing to do with its appearance, which is currently an extremely close-up zoom of Yoshi. The Yoshi version of this emote is actually a replacement for the original which was a small icon of the greeting postcard from Club Penguin reading "Cool name!". The emote was added following the 2017 stream The End of Club Penguin because throughout the broadcast Draco's inbox was spammed with that postcard. The reason for this is when Draco registered a Club Penguin account to stream the closure of the game he did not provide enough time for the username approval process to happen so rather than have a character named "Gatorbox" it was instead a string of random numbers. Viewers of the stream who logged on to follow Draco around kept spamming him with this postcard as a way to joke about the ugly username.

Replacement

The user responsible for popularizing the postcard during that stream was eventually banned from the community, however. Part of the process of handling the dismissal of this person involved lightly scrubbing their involvement from the channel to avoid possible future conflict and this emote was one of the things that was removed. Rather than simply disable the emote, which would still leave it visible on the FrankerFaceZ profile for the Gatorbox channel complete with its usage history that credited the user in question, Draco elected to replace it entirely. The replacement image is a picture of Yoshi from Nintendo's online Super Mario calendar creator that was posted to the #meme-zone channel of the community Discord with the message "every day is yoshi day".

There was originally no plans to keep GBcoolname in use once it was replaced however several viewers who noticed the Yoshi icon asked if it could be enabled on the channel so in 2021 Draco added it back into the active lineup of emotes with its original name intact.
