PUSSYTRON 4000
PUSSYTRON 4000 is the name of a joke combat robot built by Draco that was shown off in a 2015 stream alongside an in-progress build of a more serious robot (Krocodentist) as a bait and switch gag. PUSSYTRON 4000 was a robot featuring a long rectangular body with tank tracks on either side of it, the robot having been built atop the base of a stripped down radio-controlled hobby tank. A motor from a cassette tape player was mounted on its back with a slight forward pitch atop the front of the robot and covering that was a long piece of pegboard acting as an anchor point for the robot's "weapon", a metallic-looking disc outfitted with several large teeth. The blade, which was actually a blank CD with cardboard and foil taped onto it, was powered by a pulley system connected to the motor.
The robot is often spoken of very highly, an example being that it's a "fourteen-time BattleBots champion". In actuality, PUSSYTRON 4000 never competed in a sanctioned match. Shortly after debuting on camera the robot was taken apart and rebuilt into a more formidable one, The Destroyer, based on a drawing Draco made in 2001. The Destroyer reused the same tank base with armored plates added onto the sides of the tracks, and the joke saw blade was replaced by a smaller actual buzzsaw-style blade made of tool steel mounted vertically and powered by the same cassette tape deck motor. A trapezoid-shaped aluminum shell (originally polycarbonate) was added to the top of the chassis covering the exposed electronics and drive motors. Despite being rebuilt into a proper robot, The Destroyer never saw combat either. The robot did appear in the 2024 stream The Twilight Foundry Quarter Century Anniversary Spectacular in a partially disassembled state.
Old footage of PUSSYTRON 4000 that was taped in 2015 was uploaded to the COLA Incorporated YouTube channel in June 2025 marking the first time the robot was seen on a Gatorbox-owned channel in 10 years.
