That's Turrible

"That's Turrible" (terrible) is a phrase associated with the Super NES game Captain Novolin, featured in the 2025 Extra Life marathon as a Game Challenge. The game was designed to be educational for children with pediatric diabetes and between levels the player is given instructions on how to administer insulin, what foods they can eat (and which to avoid), and how to manage their symptoms. These interstitial segments are hosted by one of two doctor characters, neither of whom are named. "That's turrible" is a quote attributed to the character referred colloquially to as "black doctor" who tells Captain Novolin what foods to avoid in the level ahead.
The doctor seems to be wearing a suspicious expression however, which led Draco to adopt a sarcastic tone when reading his cutscenes. Due to the difficulty of the game Draco would find himself restarting levels only to be admonished by the doctor for not avoiding the bad food in the prior attempt resulting in improvisational quips like "I warned you about them Chips Ahoy, now you dead" and "I know Twix come two in a pack but you can have only one of 'em". Usually these phrases were punctuated by a "that's turrible" delivered with the same cadence as former professional basketball player Charles Barkley.
The phrase "that's turrible" along with the improvisational quips about sugary foods became a recurring joke throughout the marathon, especially during the annual feature of Bible Buffet at the end of the event. An extreme close-up of the doctor's face was added as an emoticon following the stream, its name a reference to the phrase.
