Nessie "Ness" Devereaux is the primary mascot of the Gatorbox stream. She is a large stuffed alligator whose most common location on-set is sitting next to Draco on the couch. Her name is derived from Loch Ness in Scotland and is a reference to the lake's signature beast the Loch Ness Monster, or "Nessie". She became the primary mascot of the show in 2014 and replaced Coolgator.
She is also represented in Gatorbox's first official Twitch emote (gatorbNess) which is a close-up of her smiling. The emote is most commonly used to express glee or excitement. In 2024 an animated version of the emote was added where Nessie makes a chomping motion with her mouth (gatorbChomp).
Nessie is treated as a sentient character on camera to play into the joke. She can apparently only be heard by Draco because "she's not mic'd up properly" so her remarks are left up to viewers to figure out based upon what Draco says in "response" to her. She is also allegedly paid more than Draco because she has a "better agent". For special Halloween streams she has been seen dressed up as a ninja and as Draco in his Your Level Sucks outfit.
Canon
Nessie is from Arcadia, Louisiana. She is in her mid-thirties. Her parents are Bernard "Bubba" and Charlene Devereaux. She has a younger sister, Jessie, who is still in grade school. Nessie and Draco are canonically in a relationship with each other after meeting while working in the same television studio that broadcasts Gatorbox.
She is portrayed as a Cajun given her home state of Louisiana and picked up a Cajun accent from her parents. Her favorite food is a crawfish & shrimp boil.
