Super Muscles Bros. is an upcoming video game for PC and Nintendo Switch developed by Gator Company and TrackMill Games. The idea for the game was initially formed in 2021 when viewer n0tthedoctor sent a version of the Muscles Gator plushie that was wearing a white tank top as opposed to the character's yellow one. Draco jokingly referred to the second plush as "Luigi" and called the duo the Super Muscles Brothers, a parody of the Super Mario Brothers. As the idea for the game was developed further Draco elected to rename the second gator to "Flex" so it matched the naming convention of Muscles, however similarly to how Mario's canon name is "Mario Mario" and Luigi's is "Luigi Mario", the two gators' surname is "Muscles" making the characters Muscles Muscles and Luigi Muscles.
The game is known to have fallen into "development hell" due to a lack of funding and resources, however the game's framework is still actively being worked on and fleshed out.
Plot
Jessie, the younger sister of Nessie, is kidnapped by Tina and her cohort Jake, two members of an organized crime ring who hope to demand a ransom payment in exchange for the return of Jessie. Upon hearing the news, Muscles and his brother Flex set out to rescue Jessie from her captors beating up mafia goons on their journey to confront Tina. Jake shows up at the end of every area to confront the brothers and battles them with increasingly elaborate contraptions. Tina and Jake are finally apprehended by the authorities at the end of the game following the final encounter and the Muscles brothers are hailed as local heroes and become the faces of their local gym.
Gameplay
Super Muscles Bros is a 2D side-scrolling platform game with beat-'em-up elements. It is for one or two players with co-operative play in two player mode. As players complete each level they have the option of collecting ingredients such as fruits, dairy, peanut butter, and whey that can be used to make protein shakes between stages that grant extra abilities such as damage reduction, increased attack, increased speed, or a double jump. Brainy, the third Muscles brother (who is a college student), assists with the protein shakes by stating what each ingredient does. Each area of the game contains several levels with Jake acting as a mini-boss at the end of each area.
